The Meris Ottobit Jr. is an expressive pedal that brings arcade-style sounds to players searching for bit crushed effect tones. Featuring controls for sample rate, bits, and filter, 8-bit arcade tones are in reach for sounds that are both authentic and musical. An onboard six-step sequencer affects the video game voice of the Ottobit Jr. by altering the overall voice of the pedal as controlled by the sample rate, filter, and bit settings. The sequencing power of the Ottobit Jr. can drastically influence the output of the effect voice by warping pitch and filter sequences. Results of adjusting the parameters of the Ottobit Jr. can be striking as the tones produced can range from harmonious to discordant. The unique Stutter control of the Ottobit Jr. influences a responsive stutter effect to emulate dysfunctional circuitry. This effect can be used to introduce rhythmic breakup to a lead guitar riff or line. Expression input can be used to assign full effect settings to either end of a compatible expression pedal for adaptation in the moment while playing. The Ottobit Jr. is a unique and expressive effect pedal for dialing in bit crushed tones of decades passed for a modern-day context.
